According to the Salvadoran Institute of Tourism (ISTU), the Jocotes and different products made from this fruit will be supplied by Finca Vista Hermosa and Finca San Jorge.
Finca Vista Hermosa and Finca San Jorge sit on the slopes of Cerro Verde Park and produce approximately 23 thousand jocotes per day during the harvest period.
This year, 12 product categories are participating: crafts, drinks, jewelry, footwear, natural cosmetics, typical sweets, gastronomy, desserts, ice cream, snacks, textiles, and jellies.
At the Jocote festival, there will be no shortage of delicious and varied cuisine made with that sweet fruit, such as desserts, artisanal pizza, cold drinks, atoles, pupusas, and sorbet, to name just a few.
The Salvadoran Institute of Tourism (ISTU), the organizer of the fair, will have a bus service (Buses Alegres) available to the public for $7.00 per person departing from San Salvador.
