Elon Musk and President Nayib Bukele
Yesterday, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele met with tech mogul Elon Musk, owner of the social network X, electric car maker TESLA, and other companies like SpaceX.
President Bukele announced his meeting with Musk on the social network X, describing Musk as “one of the great minds of our time.” The X post shows 45 seconds of Musk and Bukele talking.
“It was a pleasure to spend several hours talking with one of the great minds of our time,” remarked Bukele on the post.
In multiple social media posts, Elon Musk has praised President Bukele’s decisions, particularly on security, recognizing him as an exemplary global leader.
The founder of Tesla and SpaceX mentioned that their conversation covered deep topics, including the nature of reality, humanity’s future, and the global impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.

Musk described the conversation as “excellent” and seemed to leave a positive impression of President Bukelel.
Under Bukele’s leadership, El Salvador has been a pioneer in the adoption of new technologies, especially in the realm of cryptocurrencies, with the implementation of Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021.
